Jerry is a fintech platform that simplifies asset ownership and management, starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, and other physical assets. With 5M+ customers, $240M+ in funding, and profitability achieved in early 2024, the company is now scaling partnerships to unlock new product lines.
You will own the end-to-end partnerships motion for Jerry's new verticals (home, motorcycle, adjacent products). This includes building and qualifying the partnership pipeline, structuring complex multi-stakeholder deals with insurance carriers and distribution partners, and ensuring partner success post-close. You'll work independently with senior external stakeholders at large organizations, designing creative deal structures when standard approaches don't work. Your ground-level insights will directly inform vertical strategy and product sequencing.
The role reports directly to the Vice President of Partnerships and is heavily cross-functional, requiring collaboration with product, engineering, data science, legal, finance, and executive leadership. You'll operate in a lean, flat organization where partnership models for newer verticals are still being defined—this is a 0-to-1 building opportunity, not execution of a proven playbook.
You bring 5+ years of business development, partnerships, or strategy consulting experience with a track record of closing complex deals. You've launched a new partnership category, entered a new market, or built a BD function from scratch. Your background combines at least two of: consulting/structured problem-solving, BD/sales execution, or early-stage startup operating experience. You're truth-seeking, creative, meticulous, and comfortable breaking ambiguous problems into clear steps and driving them to completion. You communicate complex deal structures simply and credibly to executives.
