Jerry.ai is a fintech platform that simplifies asset ownership and management, starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, and other physical assets. The company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. As Director of Business Operations & Partnerships, you will own the end-to-end partnerships motion for Jerry's new product lines (home, motorcycle, and adjacent products). This is a newly defined space with no existing playbook—you'll be scoping what to build rather than executing a proven formula. Key responsibilities include: - Building and running the partnerships pipeline from initial outreach through signed agreement and successful onboarding - Leading insurance carrier and partner conversations independently: qualifying fit, understanding partner needs, structuring value propositions, and closing deals - Designing creative deal structures for non-standard partners when conventional approaches don't work - Owning partner success post-close, ensuring new partners ramp effectively and become long-term relationships - Contributing to vertical strategy by feeding ground-level insights about partner constraints and opportunities into product roadmap decisions You'll report directly to the VP of Partnerships and work heavily cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, legal, finance, and executive leadership. The role requires someone comfortable with ambiguity, complex multi-month deal cycles, and the reality that many deals won't close. Required background: 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategy consulting with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You should have experience building 0-to-1 (launching a new partnership category, entering a new market, or building a BD function from scratch). Ideal candidates combine at least two of: consulting/structured problem-solving, BD/sales execution, or early-stage startup operating experience. You must be able to engage senior external stakeholders independently and communicate complex deal structures clearly to executives.
