Salary: USD 177,000 - 400,000 / annual

Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth within the Intelligence Community (IC) portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Growth, you will own end-to-end business development activities including customer engagement, opportunity identification, capture management, and proposal leadership for USG contracts. Key responsibilities include driving near-term and long-term IC revenue growth, leading customer engagement and pipeline development, identifying and capturing new opportunities, creating and executing customer engagement plans, leading proposal efforts (including win themes, technical solution development, and pricing strategy), collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams, and providing customer insights to inform product roadmap decisions. You will work closely with Legal and Finance on contract execution and serve as a strategic voice for the IC customer base within the organization. Required qualifications: 10+ years aerospace/defense experience with 5+ years in business development; proven success in USG capture activities and space business within the IC; demonstrated ability to build and execute plans with ownership and minimal oversight; active TS clearance; excellent communication skills; comfort with 25% travel; and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Desired qualifications include a master's degree in a technical field, P&L responsibility experience, background in remote sensing satellite development or mission operations, experience with diverse USG/IC/Civil customers, and understanding of systems engineering and architectures.
