Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Director of Business Development for the Advanced Effects business line within the Air Dominance and Strike Division. This role is based in Huntsville, Alabama and focuses on the US Army and International Partners. You will own responsibility for identifying, shaping, and capturing ground and air-launched advanced effects opportunities, primarily with the US Army. Your core responsibilities include: • Generate and capture new US Army Advanced Effects opportunities by developing deep understanding of the customer base, programmatic roadmaps, and competitive landscape. You will manage continuous client engagements, develop growth strategies, monitor buying cycles, and lead proposal and capture efforts. • Develop comprehensive capture strategies that outline acquisition plans, create alignment to investment strategies, and drive toward program of record execution. This involves engaging key stakeholders to shape requirements, securing relevant funding, and developing compelling win themes. • Drive product development and program transition by translating client problem sets into the engineering organization. You will deliver nascent concepts to clients, shape early design of experiments, and lead collaborative R&D efforts toward ACAT 1 programs. • Grow existing business by partnering with execution teams and product engineers to expand work with current clients and explore new opportunities through sustained partnerships. • Communicate Anduril's value to clients, partners, and the public, projecting the company's ethos and competitive advantages in next-generation defense technology. Required qualifications include minimum 7 years of experience creating or supporting new missiles/weapons programs with requirements definition and acquisition strategies expertise. You must have prior experience working with US Army program offices, deep understanding of the Army customer community and requirements process, and acquisition or operational experience with missile systems across surface fires, air-launched effects, and air defense domains. Excellent writing and communication skills with senior executive and customer presentation experience are essential. You must be willing to travel 50-75% and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active US Top Secret security clearance.
