Anduril Industries is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join the Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Electrical Engineering Team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on designing and integrating RTL for FPGA and SoC platforms used in high-performance embedded systems, avionics, and mission-critical hardware for next-generation autonomous air platforms and missile systems.
You will work across the full development lifecycle, from requirements and microarchitecture through RTL implementation, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, lab bring-up, and system integration. The team develops flight-critical electronics, PCB assemblies, and FPGA-based processing architectures that meet demanding performance, reliability, and survivability requirements for Group 5 air vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement RTL in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog for FPGA and SoC-based systems
- Translate system and hardware requirements into microarchitecture, interface definitions, and implementation plans
- Perform functional verification, simulation, and synthesis optimization
- Collaborate on timing closure and physical design integration
- Support lab bring-up, system integration, and flight test activities
- Work with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software, and mission autonomy
