As DevOps Team Lead, you will lead the platform engineering transformation as Fetcherr scales into new verticals and markets. Your core responsibilities include building and growing a high-performing DevOps team while architecting a Kubernetes-native, self-service infrastructure platform.
Key ownership areas:
Self-Service Enablement: Design and implement secure, automated pathways that empower cross-functional R&D teams to accelerate development while maintaining organizational standards and safety.
Architectural Modularization: Evolve the current infrastructure into a decoupled, scalable architecture supporting rapid iteration and independent service lifecycles across the platform.
Unified Infrastructure Management: Establish an "Everything as Code" strategy, treating infrastructure, policy, and configuration with the same rigor as application software.
Proactive Reliability: Foster operational excellence through robust observability, clear Service Level Objectives, and a culture of safety-first operations.
Success metrics include reducing deployment lead times by 30% within 6 months, increasing self-service adoption by 50% among R&D teams, and achieving 99.9% uptime for core services. By 12 months, you'll have scaled the Platform Engineering team into an autonomous, high-performing unit that sets the standard for engineering excellence across the company.
You lead by empowering rather than directing—providing context and autonomy while holding teams accountable. You build learning-oriented teams through data-driven retrospectives and blameless postmortems. You remain hands-on enough to earn technical trust and make critical architectural decisions. You prioritize sustainable delivery over burnout-inducing sprints, and you maintain non-negotiable standards around testing, code review, observability, and production-first deployment.
