As a DevOps Engineer I, you will join the Platform Management team overseeing the health, scalability, and security of the cloud infrastructure. You will take hands-on responsibility for maintaining and evolving systems, services, and tools shared across engineering teams. Your role includes advising and coaching engineering teams as they scale to meet growing customer demands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing DevOps methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation best practices
- Managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and serverless architectures
- Working with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) for deployment and scaling
- Using infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) to automate infrastructure setup and management
- Establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, and similar tools
- Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and similar tools
- Implementing security best practices, identity and access management, and infrastructure hardening
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Collaborating with engineering teams using tools like Slack, JIRA, and Confluence
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2+ years of technology experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP
- Hands-on experience managing build tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/Terragrunt)
- Linux-based infrastructure experience
- Strong understanding of Ruby, Python, and Java
- Expert technical troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience with operations, deployment, and security of multiple SaaS/B2C products
- Hands-on experience with log collection designs (EFK) and metric collection tools (New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana, SignalFx)
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservice architectures on public clouds (preferably AWS/GCP)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coding skills
