RobCo is building autonomous industrial robotics solutions that combine hardware, software, and AI. The company is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure that powers their robots in the field. You will join the Infrastructure & Data team and play a critical role in keeping the AWS environment reliable, secure, and cost-effective. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, EC2), Kubernetes, and cloud security best practices. You'll write automation tooling in Go or Python, debug production incidents, and implement monitoring and observability solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Maintaining AWS infrastructure reliability, security, and cost optimization - Writing infrastructure-as-code and automation to reduce operational toil - Owning reliability practices: monitoring, alerting, observability, incident response, and post-mortems - Implementing cloud security best practices (IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, encryption, least-privilege access) - Supporting engineering teams with deployments, capacity planning, and cost optimization - Building MLOps pipelines that move models from research to production - Developing the developer platform that enables the broader engineering team Required experience: - Solid background in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering - Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code practices - Hands-on AWS experience including EKS, RDS, S3, and EC2 - Proficiency in tooling or backend development - Kubernetes deployment, operation, and troubleshooting - Strong cloud security background applied in production - Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar) and incident management You should be senior enough to make architectural decisions, set standards, and mentor others without needing day-to-day direction.
