As a DevOps Engineer on the Platform team, you will own the infrastructure that enables all engineering teams at Invisible to operate effectively. This includes Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, identity and secrets management, networking, observability, and internal tooling that allows engineers and AI coding agents to ship safely and quickly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning platform services end-to-end: design, build, operate, and improve them with on-call responsibility
- Delivering infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD with GitOps as the default operating model
- Building and maintaining developer experience tooling including onboarding templates, CI/CD pipelines, local development environments, and self-service capabilities
- Contributing to agent infrastructure including sandboxed execution environments, credential brokering, guardrails, and internal MCP servers
- Improving observability and alerting so system health is visible and actionable
- Participating in incident response and post-incident reviews
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on production Kubernetes experience with real users and consequences on GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Helm, and GitOps patterns (ArgoCD or Flux)
- Proficiency in Python with ability to use other languages as needed
- Demonstrable mastery of AI coding agents and understanding of how to scope work for agent completion
- Strong engineering judgment and ability to articulate reasoning behind practices
- Strong written communication skills for runbooks, design documents, and code review
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with initiative to identify priorities
- Demonstrated capability valued over years of experience or formal qualifications
The Platform team is small relative to its scope, meaning you'll take ownership of production systems early and see impact across the entire organization. The role involves rethinking DevOps practices for the agentic era where assumptions about human-paced engineering are changing.
