InfluxData is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its globally distributed, remote-first team. You'll maintain and extend foundational infrastructure supporting InfluxDB, the leading time series platform used by developers worldwide to collect, store, and analyze time-stamped data at scale. In this role, you'll design, implement, and operate large-scale, multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure using GitOps methodology. You'll work across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, managing both managed and self-managed Kubernetes platforms. Your responsibilities include automating operational processes with Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools, troubleshooting complex production issues, and participating in a low-volume pager rotation as a subject matter expert on Kubernetes and infrastructure principles. You'll collaborate with multiple engineering teams in an empathetic, supportive environment that values iterative excellence, open communication, and learning from failure. The team embraces a culture of kindness and respect, recognizing that great products require great culture. Key qualifications include production-level Kubernetes experience with cloud-native technologies (Istio, Vault, etc.), hands-on DevOps pattern expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and comfort with incident response. Experience maintaining SaaS environments, incident command, CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions), and languages like Go or Rust are valued bonuses. You should thrive in remote-first settings and be a vocal, collaborative team participant.
