Anthropic is hiring a DevOps / AgentOps Engineer to design and operate a next-generation CI/CD pipeline for their Go-To-Market (GTM) Systems platform. GTM Systems powers Salesforce and custom internal applications that handle revenue-impacting transactions, critical business processes, and company-wide data.
The core challenge: build an AI-first delivery system designed from the ground up for agents and humans working side-by-side, rather than retrofitting agents into a human-centric pipeline. You will own the entire path from code request through production deployment, supporting three operational modes: fully agentic, human-in-the-loop, and AI-assisted.
Key responsibilities include designing and operating the CI/CD pipeline for a production Salesforce org and custom applications; defining how changes are classified and routed through agentic, human-in-the-loop, or AI-assisted lanes; building the agent operations layer (scoping, tooling, permissions, sandboxing); implementing approval workflows that keep PR review and business sign-off as distinct gates; owning environment strategy, secrets, observability, and rollback mechanics; producing SOX-compliant audit trails; measuring pipeline metrics (lead time, failure rate, lane distribution); and pairing with engineers to continuously improve defaults.
You must have hands-on experience building and running CI/CD pipelines (branching, merge gating, rollback); Salesforce deployment mechanics (metadata API, source-tracked development, org-to-org promotion) or comparable enterprise platform experience; fluency with AI coding tools and agentic workflows with clear opinions on agent vs. human boundaries; security-first thinking (blast radius, sandboxing, permissions); comfort with GitHub Actions or similar CI systems, infrastructure-as-code, and scripting; and ability to write design documents defendable to engineers, business approvers, and auditors.
Preferred: experience shipping agents or automation in production systems of record; operating platforms under SOX or similar audit regimes; Salesforce DevOps tooling (Gearset, Copado, sfdx); migrating from manual to governed pipelines; building approval/notification workflows in Slack or similar tools.
