As a Senior Software Developer, you will join a team designing robust, reliable software at a sustainable pace using modern toolchains that enable production code deployment multiple times daily. You will develop high-performance, resilient multi-tier applications enabling industry leaders to expand operations in cloud and e-commerce domains. Note: This role requires strong English proficiency as the selected candidate will collaborate with teams in the United States, India, Argentina, Ontario, and Alberta.
**Requirements:**
- 6+ years of professional experience designing modern, scalable, high-performance backend services with solid mastery of type-driven development principles
- Professional experience deploying and managing applications and services on AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions; strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in NoSQL database modeling with DynamoDB (including single-table design) and deep knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres to power AppDirect's data infrastructure
- Professional experience with Go is a plus
- Strong professional experience in RESTful API design; mastery of event-driven microservices architecture, ideally with Amazon EventBridge, to build distributed and resilient systems
- Commitment to maintaining high standards for your work and your team's, including making thoughtful technical trade-offs to deliver balanced solutions
- Autonomy, organizational skills, positive and solution-oriented attitude; ability to work in a hybrid environment where schedule flexibility requires asynchronous communication
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, within distributed development teams
