AppDirect is a global subscription platform that enables organizations to sell any product as a service across any channel and device, powering millions of subscriptions worldwide.
You will join the engineering team as a Software Developer, working on building and maintaining high-value systems and features. Your responsibilities include:
- Write clear, readable, and logically designed code for multi-functional modules
- Develop testable code with strong mastery of boundary and negative testing; create comprehensive test suites
- Create and maintain clear documentation for API endpoints and external data structures; integrate third-party and cross-team code with guidance
- Own simple projects autonomously
- Work under the supervision of senior engineers, actively contributing to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and retrospectives
- Deliver high-value systems and features for customers and internal teams
- Deliver quality products on schedule; proactively flag issues affecting delivery; conduct detailed code reviews and contribute to documenting best practices
- Collaborate closely with talented product managers, designers, and sales teams
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of professional Java development experience
- Proven experience deploying complete solutions from design to delivery
- Strong knowledge of web services and REST API development
- Proficiency in Java and Java frameworks (Spring Framework, J2EE, Reactor)
- HTML/CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS, Redux, AngularJS experience is a plus)
- Node.js and Node.js frameworks (Express, HappiJS)
- MySQL/MongoDB with practical MySQL stored procedure knowledge
- Data structures and algorithms
- Unit testing with JUnit
- Practical experience with containers (Docker, Rkt)
- Practical experience with orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenShift)
- Practical experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Desirable skills include design patterns, integration and performance testing, and Agile development methodology experience.
