This Developer Relations role focuses on the community pillar—building and scaling Sarvam's developer community into a thriving ecosystem where builders want to belong. You'll manage the Discord community day-to-day, handling moderation, onboarding flows, channel structure, and engagement rituals. You'll design and execute community programs including hackathons, meetups, office hours, workshops, and campus outreach from concept through follow-up.
Key responsibilities include identifying and nurturing the most engaged developers, creating recognition and growth opportunities for them, and running initiatives to bring new developers into the community through partnerships with colleges, developer communities, and other devtool ecosystems. You'll synthesize developer feedback into structured insights for engineering, product, and DevRel teams, spotting friction points and championing solutions. You'll also track community health metrics—activity, retention, response times, program participation, NPS—and use data to guide strategy.
The role requires 1–3 years of community management, developer programs, or related experience, ideally in devtools, developer platforms, or open-source ecosystems. You should have built and scaled a community from the ground up, understand how developers work and can follow technical conversations, and excel at end-to-end event and program execution. Strong writing skills, ability to move fast and ship polished work independently, and genuine community-mindedness are essential. Bonus experience includes organizing hackathons, running community programs at scale, familiarity with community tooling (Discord bots, analytics), or interest in AI and Indian languages.
