Ollama is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to drive adoption and ecosystem growth for the world's most popular open-model runtime platform. With 8.9 million monthly active developers and 67,000+ community-built integrations, Ollama is the leading developer network in the open-model ecosystem.
In this highly visible, high-impact role, you will be the public face of Ollama, working directly with developers, model labs, hardware companies, and industry partners to accelerate adoption and build long-term relationships. You'll own the full strategy, execution, and outcomes for developer relations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion Ollama within existing developer communities and nurture the broader ecosystem
- Partner with model labs and hardware manufacturers to demonstrate user and business value
- Create and execute external technical content: short-form social demos, in-depth blog posts, videos, and tutorials showcasing open models
- Serve as the voice of the user community to the internal team, synthesizing feedback and insights
- Build live demos and participate in developer meetups and conferences
You should have deep technical intuition with hands-on experience building with LLMs, framework integrations (LangChain, LlamaIndex), and model configuration. Exceptional communication skills are essential—you'll need a public portfolio demonstrating technical writing, recorded talks, or developer community programs. High ownership and comfort shipping code in public are core to success in this flat, fast-moving, design-driven environment.
