Perplexity is seeking a Design Engineer to transform perplexity.com into a high-performing growth engine. You'll work closely with brand designers, product marketing managers, growth teams, and content creators to ship product launch pages, campaign landing pages, and the reusable components and tooling that enable rapid iteration without compromising quality.
In this hands-on role, you'll take Figma designs, Slack briefs, and rough sketches from concept to polished, production-ready pages with speed and attention to detail. You'll own the full lifecycle from design handoff through shipping, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging experiences.
Key responsibilities include: shipping product launch pages for products like Comet, Computer, Deep Research, Search, and Hub; building interactive experiences in partnership with brand designers; maintaining and extending the brand design system and component library to keep Figma and production in sync; collaborating with paid ads and growth teams to run A/B tests on landing pages, popups, and upsell modules; migrating legacy Framer collections to Sanity and modeling schemas for non-technical users; designing solutions independently when design resources are constrained; and improving tooling around marketing workflows including CMS systems, internationalization, SEO, experimentation, and self-serve internal tools.
You'll work with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Sanity. The role requires strong front-end fundamentals, deep understanding of responsive design and design-to-code workflows, experience maintaining reusable component libraries, and an eye for design details. You should be comfortable with cross-functional collaboration, able to defend decisions and explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
