Ambrook is a Series B fintech startup rebuilding financial infrastructure for American family-run businesses in agriculture and real economy sectors. The company helps independent operators become more profitable and resilient by replacing legacy systems with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending. As a Design Engineer on Growth, you will own the craft and quality of all customer-facing growth surfaces—including the marketing site, landing pages, activation flows, and checkout experiences. You'll partner closely with marketing, sales, product operations, and customer success to drive business outcomes across the entire funnel. Your responsibilities span both hands-on design and engineering work (designing and building high-quality experiences yourself) and systems-level impact (building the marketing design system that enables the broader team to move quickly without sacrificing quality). The role emphasizes experimentation velocity and data-driven decision-making. You'll audit visual and interaction quality, develop intuition for agricultural producers through customer discovery, and establish visual and interaction standards that the team can follow. Within six months, you'll have productionized multiple growth surfaces, closed the data loop on experiments, and contributed to hiring. The tech stack includes Next.js/React (TypeScript), Expo/React Native for mobile, Firestore, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Storage, Sanity for content, Figma for design, and GCP infrastructure. The team actively adopts AI dev tooling and optimizes for portability as the landscape evolves. You'll need 4+ years building high-quality web and mobile experiences, with at least 2 years on marketing surfaces or growth problems. Strong design instincts, advanced frontend skills, design system ownership experience, experimental thinking with data, and genuine cross-functional collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate is outcome-oriented, unblocks themselves, has product sense and customer empathy, and stays current with AI tooling trends.
