The Exploration Company is building spacecraft for humanity. As Deputy Flight Software Lead, you will report to the Lead Flight Software and serve as a key coordinator ensuring effective execution of Flight Software activities across the organization.
You will act as a central interface between Flight Software, other functional disciplines, Mission Operations, and ESA (European Space Agency). Your responsibilities include:
• Own and coordinate the development logic and schedule of Flight Software activities, ensuring consistency with overall team execution and proper prioritization.
• Manage and coordinate relationships with ESA on Flight Software-related topics.
• Coordinate Flight Software risk management, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and addressed.
• Ensure consistency, development, and maintenance of development tools required by the Flight Software team.
• Establish a consistent cadence of checkpoints and coordinate definition and closure of requirements with functional chain owners across disciplines, Mission Operations, and within the Flight Software team.
• Support hiring activities and serve as a point of contact for finance, export control, and other operational efficiency tasks linked to the Flight Software organization.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong structured thinking and ability to organize and manage complex topics
• Strong "get things done" mindset
• Experience in flight software development
• Ability to work effectively across different functional teams and disciplines
• Strong coordination and communication skills
