Column is a fintech company building a developer-first bank and financial infrastructure platform. As Column's first Deployment Strategist, you will lead end-to-end deployments of Column's technology and operating model into partner businesses. You'll act as the "GM" of each deployment, sitting at the intersection of product, operations, and strategy.
You will own the complete deployment lifecycle, from initial assessment through rollout and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities include identifying the biggest bottlenecks to scale and designing systems, tools, and processes that measurably improve operational efficiency. You'll drive "build vs. buy" decisions for new tooling and automation systems, embed on-site with operators to understand workflows firsthand, and translate those insights into product and operational decisions. You'll own execution end-to-end, driving timelines, alignment, and accountability across teams.
This role is based in Column's San Francisco office in the Presidio, with significant travel throughout the United States. You should expect to be on the road 50%+ of the time, often embedded on-site for 2–4 week stretches.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in product, business operations, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed roles at a high-growth technology company
- Demonstrated track record of owning complex, high-stakes deployments or programs end-to-end
- Strong executive presence and ability to align stakeholders with different priorities around shared goals
- Hyper-organized approach to execution; comfortable managing multiple workstreams across teams simultaneously
- Genuine excitement about spending ~50% of time on the road, embedded with teams and operations
- Scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with willingness to get hands dirty to build the business
- Understanding of what great software and user experiences look like
- Familiarity with banking or fintech preferred but not required; must have genuine interest in becoming an expert in this space
