Island is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join the Island Catalyst Team, a specialized deployment unit focused on accelerating enterprise customer implementations of the Island Enterprise Platform. This role is core to Island's go-to-market strategy, combining hands-on technical execution with practice-building responsibilities.
You will lead time-boxed, structured deployment engagements with enterprise customers from kickoff through handoff. This includes conducting on-site deployment workshops, configuring Island Enterprise Platform environments (policies, integrations, identity systems like SSO/SCIM, and app management), identifying and removing technical and organizational blockers in real-time, and driving customers to adoption milestones. You'll deliver complete, documented handoffs that leave customers confident and ready to expand independently.
Beyond execution, you'll actively contribute to building the deployment practice itself. You'll help design, refine, and document Island's deployment framework and methodology. You'll develop workshop guides, facilitation templates, and customer-facing materials. You'll build and maintain a library of reusable deployment artifacts, configuration playbooks, and best-practice documentation. You'll capture lessons learned from each engagement and feed them back into methodology improvements, contribute to the intake process and operating model, and produce deployment case studies.
Required qualifications include 3+ years in implementation consulting, solutions engineering, technical customer success, or similar customer-facing technical roles. You need hands-on experience deploying enterprise software, ideally in security, endpoint management, or network infrastructure. You should have a strong technical foundation with enterprise identity systems (Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace), SSO/SAML/SCIM, and browser or endpoint environments. You must be comfortable leading workshops and driving decisions with stakeholders at all levels, with structured project management instincts to run time-boxed engagements with clear milestones. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proven experience leveraging AI to accelerate work and deliver higher value is important, with familiarity with GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, MCP, and tools like Claude and Gemini. You'll need willingness and ability to travel for on-site customer engagements (estimated 40–60% travel).
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the Island Enterprise Platform, background in professional services or managed deployment programs, experience building deployment frameworks or enablement content from scratch, and exposure to enterprise security concepts like DLP, web filtering, zero trust, or endpoint policy management.
