Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join the Mission Operations (MOPs) team supporting the Radar division. This role bridges customer relationships, product engineering, and field operations—you will own customer accounts and manage the deployment of Anduril's radar and integrated sensor systems for U.S. military, DHS, and allied defense partners.
The position offers two focus tracks:
**Software & Analysis Track:** Build and maintain remote monitoring tooling, health dashboards, and connectivity checks across distributed radar sites. Develop software integrations between radar systems, mesh networks, and command-and-control platforms. Analyze detection performance and tracking data from field operations and exercises to identify trends and root causes. Create self-service diagnostics and automation to reduce manual troubleshooting and on-site dependency. Occasional travel required.
**Integration & Field Track:** Lead site standups from initial radar integration through operational acceptance, including physical hardware installation and configuration. Troubleshoot and test hardware in the field, working directly with end-users to resolve issues in real time. Organize and execute site logistics—travel planning, test event layout, equipment staging, and partner coordination. Deliver operator training sessions and pre-exercise preparation on-site. Willingness to travel 50–75% required.
**Core Responsibilities (Both Tracks):**
- Serve as project manager and on-site lead or remote systems owner, working directly with military and DHS customers
- Monitor radar system performance, connectivity, mesh network integration, and sensor fusion (EO/IR, RF) with C2 systems at distributed locations
- Gather, triage, and prioritize user feedback on detection performance, tracking accuracy, classification, and operational issues
- Provide input to account and engineering teams on radar features, detection algorithms, and UI/UX improvements
- Support engagement with other military units and commands for expanded deployment across installations and forward operating locations
- Contribute to user feedback systems, issue tracking, operator training, and exercise preparation
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience and Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- For Software & Analysis focus: demonstrated software engineering experience (scripting, automation, data pipelines, systems integration) and comfort with statistical analysis of sensor performance data
- For Integration & Field focus: basic CLI familiarity (comfortable running commands and following technical procedures; software writing not required)
- Willingness to travel 50–75%
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations; working knowledge of counter-UAS and air surveillance landscape
- Basic understanding of radar fundamentals, sensor fusion, or air defense operations
- Experience in small, cross-functional teams solving complex problems amid ambiguity
- Experience in high-stress environments, field deployments, or operational settings
- Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills across internal teams and external stakeholders (military operators, program managers, technical staff)
- For Integration & Field: military or hands-on technical background (electronics maintenance, systems integration, field service)
- For Software & Analysis: experience building internal tools, dashboards, or monitoring systems for hardware/sensor fleets
