Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers, and rethinking every layer of the stack. The company is focused on deploying frontier compute infrastructure faster than competitors to ensure AI expands human freedom. You will lead a small team of Decision Engineers (AI Software Engineers) building AI-powered tools and decision systems that significantly improve manufacturing and supply chain workflows. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll personally ship high-leverage AI tools and agents while setting technical direction for your team. Key responsibilities include: leading a small engineering team while still coding; identifying and shipping the highest-impact AI augmentation opportunities across manufacturing and supply chain workflows with measurable productivity gains; designing and maintaining shared AI infrastructure including agent frameworks and reusable skills; growing engineers through review, direction, and hiring; and partnering with leadership to translate business goals into an AI tooling roadmap. You'll need 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years leading a team while still coding. You should have a track record shipping production systems in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or automation domains. Technical requirements include production-grade code in Go, Python, and TypeScript with strong full-stack web application skills (React, Next.js). Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks is essential. Deep understanding of AI coding agent tools like Claude Code and Cursor is required. You need technical depth to review architecture and unblock engineers, ownership mentality to define and execute roadmaps with minimal process overhead, and excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Experience at fast-scaling automation, robotics, or supply chain software companies is a plus. Compensation includes competitive cash and equity, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan, and generous PTO.
