Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing data centers, and operating them at massive scale. The company is focused on deploying frontier compute faster than anyone else to ensure AI expands human freedom.
You'll lead a small team of Decision Engineers (AI Software Engineers) building AI-powered tools and decision systems that dramatically improve business operations workflows. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll personally ship high-leverage AI tools and agents while setting technical direction for your team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a small team of engineers, setting technical direction and owning delivery quality
- Personally building and shipping the highest-impact AI tools and agents for business operations
- Identifying and executing on the highest-impact AI augmentation opportunities across operations workflows
- Designing and maintaining shared AI infrastructure including agent and skills frameworks
- Growing engineers through review, mentorship, and hiring
- Partnering with functional leadership to translate business goals into an AI tooling roadmap
You'll need 5+ years of software engineering experience with proven ability to lead engineers or own technical direction. Strong full-stack development skills are essential—production-grade code in Go, Python, and TypeScript, plus web frameworks like React or Next.js. Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks is required. Deep familiarity with AI coding agent tools like Claude Code and Cursor is important.
The ideal candidate has proven autonomy, excellent product taste, and the judgment to balance rapid iteration with maintainable foundations. Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption are critical. Experience with business operations, finance, strategy-and-operations workflows, or building internal operational tooling is a nice-to-have.
