Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers with teams spanning hardware and software. The Decision Engineering team is hiring Decision Engineers (AI Software Engineers) to build AI-powered decision systems and internal tools that make the compute production flow significantly more productive.
In this role, you'll serve as an internal force multiplier, working directly with compute production teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI augmentation and shipping tools that drive measurable productivity gains. You'll own tools end-to-end, from conception through production, iterating directly with the people who use them daily.
Key responsibilities include building decision systems and internal tools leveraging frontier models; designing and maintaining shared AI infrastructure including AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md; building custom integrations between LLMs and internal systems (Slack, GitHub, internal APIs, operational data); and staying current with rapidly evolving AI capabilities to proactively identify new opportunities.
You'll need 3+ years of production software engineering experience with Go, Python, and TypeScript, strong full-stack development skills (React, Next.js), hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-weight models), and daily demonstrable use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor). You should be comfortable working autonomously, identifying problems, designing solutions, and shipping results with minimal direction. Strong product judgment, systems thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience with compute infrastructure, hardware production, or operations tooling is a plus.
