Salary: USD 180,000 - 220,000 / annual
Virtru is seeking a Data Warehouse & Analytics Architect to lead technical architecture and design for its data infrastructure and analytics platforms. This is a player-coach role combining hands-on technical contributions with architectural leadership and mentorship.
You will be responsible for designing and reviewing scaled data warehouse and analytics systems, with deep expertise in site reliability engineering (SRE) and cloud-native deployments. Key responsibilities include:
Software Architecture & Design: Lead system design and architecture reviews for data warehouses and web-scale analytics applications. Architect data lakehouse designs, data modeling, and integration patterns. Provide technical direction for scaling complex features involving data storage, processing, and deployments. Create and maintain architectural documentation including Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Demonstrate familiarity with DevSecOps, AIOps, and MLOps practices.
Technical Health & Quality: Monitor and reduce technical debt across engineering teams related to data storage, processing, and site reliability. Partner with Engineering Managers to define technical health metrics and improve onboarding. Drive reliability, performance, and security best practices. Break down complex tasks into manageable deliverables and ensure sustainable engineering practices.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and mentor engineers on data warehouse, processing, and SRE architecture. Lead by example through high-quality code contributions to critical components. Share knowledge of hyperscale data systems and emerging technologies. Conduct code reviews focused on architectural alignment. Support hiring and technical assessments.
Collaboration: Partner with Engineering Managers, product management, UX, and other architects to design and deliver solutions. Work cross-functionally to identify and solve technical challenges.
