Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with next-generation technology, already delivering impact at major global organizations by improving detection, unlocking security data value, and reducing cost and complexity. Headquartered in New York and Tel Aviv, Vega is seeking an AI Engineer to join the core AI team.
In this role, you will design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI systems that leverage large language models (LLMs), unstructured data, and advanced machine learning techniques. You will be responsible for bringing AI from research into real-world production, delivering high-impact features that drive the security platform forward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop end-to-end AI solutions, from data ingestion and modeling through deployment and observability
- Build and fine-tune LLM-based applications to solve complex cybersecurity challenges
- Own the full ML lifecycle—from ideation and experimentation to production readiness
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to translate AI research into user-facing features
- Work with large-scale unstructured data (logs, threat intelligence, alerts) to extract meaningful insights
- Evaluate and optimize AI system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Contribute to core architectural decisions related to AI and ML infrastructure
