Revolut is a global fintech company on a mission to give people more from their money. With 80+ million customers and 13,000+ employees worldwide, Revolut offers a suite of products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel services.
The Legal team at Revolut partners across the organization to provide practical, sharp advice that enables fast growth while maintaining compliance and protection. This Senior Legal Counsel role focuses on data protection and artificial intelligence—two critical areas as Revolut scales its product offerings and enters new markets.
Reporting to the Head of Legal in France, you will advise the business on privacy, data protection, and AI legal issues across product structuring and marketing. You'll ensure that privacy and data protection considerations are embedded in the feature launch review process, draft and negotiate contractual data protection and AI clauses with third parties and other Revolut entities, and advise on complex international data transfers to ensure GDPR compliance.
Your responsibilities include managing data breaches (including drafting notifications to supervisory authorities), drafting and maintaining customer-facing privacy notices and cookie policies, liaising with global Legal Counsels on cross-jurisdictional privacy and AI matters, supporting complex data protection requests, and proactively engaging with regulators across multiple countries. You'll stay current on legal, regulatory, and industry developments while leading by example in managing complex legal tasks quickly and efficiently.
This role offers significant commercial involvement and responsibility for Revolut's ongoing development and growth—unusual scope for an in-house legal position. You can be based in one of Revolut's European offices, work remotely, or work hybrid.
