Lendable is a UK fintech unicorn (700+ employees) on a mission to rebuild consumer finance products—loans, credit cards, and car finance—with modern technology. The company is profitable since 2017, backed by top-tier investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, and operates across the UK and US markets.
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will work alongside senior team members to solve complex data infrastructure challenges in a fast-paced environment. You'll operate with high autonomy, proactively gathering context, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring work lands effectively.
Data Platform sits at the center of the business with an opportunity to shape how teams interact with data. The focus is enabling fast, iterative analytics—moving from idea to insight quickly—while maintaining strong foundations around reliability, cost, and security. You'll work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams.
The tech stack includes Python, SQL, Terragrunt, and JavaScript; AWS (primary) and some GCP; Snowflake, S3/Parquet; dbt and Fivetran for ETL; Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Argo, GitHub Actions, and HashiCorp Vault for platform and infrastructure; Datadog and Grafana for observability; Preset for dashboarding; and Claude for AI tooling.
Lendable values pragmatism, speed balanced with scalability, and leveraging AI tooling to improve ways of working. The company offers flexible working (hybrid roles require three days in-office weekly), private health coverage, retirement savings plans, employee referral bonuses, complimentary lunches on in-office days, and sustainable commuting schemes.
