Lovable is a software creation platform that enables people to turn ideas into working software without requiring deep technical expertise or significant capital. Since launching in November 2024, over 60 million projects have been built on the platform by solopreneurs, small business owners, and teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk. The company is recognized as one of Europe's fastest-growing AI companies and has been named to TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies, Forbes AI 50, and CNBC Disruptor 50.
You will join the Data Platform team as a Data Infrastructure Engineer responsible for building the data systems that power Lovable's agent. Unlike traditional single-tenant data infrastructure, you'll solve the harder problem: designing systems for millions of small, independent tenants sharing infrastructure while maintaining isolation, cost efficiency, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building event ingestion pipelines that accept data from millions of Lovable apps, treating every producer as untrusted and preventing one tenant's bad traffic from affecting others' data integrity or performance.
- Designing and operating managed analytical storage for every user, including schema management, partitioning strategies, and compaction of continuous small writes.
- Optimizing query performance in scenarios where you cannot keep compute warm for every tenant.
- Building runtime environments for agent-written connectors with isolated execution, credential management, scheduling, retries, and state persistence.
- Making cost per tenant measurable and driving it down through metering, limits, and workload isolation.
- Exposing data, metadata, and tools to the Lovable agent so it can build software on customers' data.
- Operating production systems end-to-end, including observability, freshness monitoring, and recovery procedures.
The tech stack includes Go, Rust, Python, and SQL for development; ClickHouse, BigQuery, and Parquet for data; Pub/Sub and Temporal for streaming and orchestration; GCP, Cloudflare, and AWS for cloud infrastructure; and GitHub Actions, Grafana, OTEL, and Terraform for DevOps.
Lovable is building from Stockholm with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. The culture emphasizes extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience building and running data systems in production at scale.
- Deep expertise in at least one layer of data infrastructure (ingestion, storage formats and table layout, query execution, or orchestration) with ability to work across multiple layers.
- Experience with multi-tenant or untrusted workloads, including isolation strategies, noisy neighbor mitigation, and cost optimization per tenant.
- Strong judgment on architectural decisions with limited oversight: selecting the right abstraction, balancing cost versus latency tradeoffs, and assessing whether designs scale to 10x growth.
- Ability to work end-to-end with AI agents; output is measured by systems built, not lines of code written.
- Ownership mindset: you ship code and own it in production.
