As a Data Engineer, you will be a key member of the data infrastructure team, working alongside Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and DevOps Engineers. You will take a leading role in designing and improving Bynder's data architecture using Data Mesh principles, developing scalable cloud-based data platforms, and implementing data governance and lineage practices across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the improvement of data architecture by applying Data Mesh principles
- Developing, scaling, maintaining, and deploying data platform infrastructure in the cloud
- Implementing Data Lineage and Governance practices organization-wide
- Supporting the Product & Engineering organization with data infrastructure and insights
- Designing and developing custom ETL pipelines, anomaly detection systems, and optimized aggregations for analysis and dashboarding
You will see direct impact on product improvements, customer growth, and internal stakeholder insights.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with AI Native development
- Proven expertise in designing Data Platforms and making architectural decisions
- Knowledge and practical experience with Data Mesh principles
- Strong background in Data Governance and Data Lineage best practices
- Experience developing data flows for large-scale data processing
- Proficiency with industry-standard data pipelining tools (Spark, Kafka)
- AWS expertise (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, etc.)
- Experience with data/task orchestration tools (Airflow)
- Knowledge of cloud data solutions (Snowflake)
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform)
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and DevOps professionals
- Critical thinking mindset and willingness to voice perspectives

- Fluent English communication skills
