In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring new server, storage, and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabled, and configured in Lambda's data centers. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems, document data center layout and network topology using DCIM software, and work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, HW Support, and RMA teams to ensure timely deployment and resolution of infrastructure-related issues.
Key responsibilities include managing parts depot inventory and tracking equipment through the delivery-store-stage-deploy-handoff process, following installation standards and documentation for placement and cabling to drive consistency across all data centers, and being willing to travel for new data center bring-ups.
This is a salaried, non-exempt position eligible for overtime, requiring presence in the Kansas City, MO data center 5 days a week with shift work.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers: power distribution, air flow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Action-oriented mindset with strong willingness to learn
- Willingness to travel for new data center locations
Nice to Have:
- Experience troubleshooting server hardware
- Experience with or knowledge of network topology
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (JIRA, Zendesk)
- Linux administration experience
- Experience in large-scale distributed data center environments
- Experience with Supermicro and Nvidia hardware
