Anthropic is seeking a Senior Data Center Capacity Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of leased and partnered data center capacity for AI infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of real estate, construction, and cutting-edge AI infrastructure, directly supporting Anthropic's mission to build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems.
You will embed with project teams and serve as the primary driver of delivery outcomes. Rather than managing a large direct team, you will operate as a force multiplier across cross-functional site teams, including development partners, general contractors, and key trades. You will spend 60% or more of your time on-site, shaping culture, approach, and execution to drive favorable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead site teams and serve as a subject matter expert in data center delivery, enhancing partner and contractor performance through knowledge and commitment to alignment
- Validate deal readiness from Letter of Intent through lease execution, ensuring all predevelopment, planning, technical, and business requirements are met
- Serve as Anthropic's primary point of contact with landlords and developers, coordinating across internal stakeholders and tracking construction progress
- Represent Anthropic in technical and operational decisions, ensuring infrastructure requirements are met while maintaining strong partnerships
- Drive seamless handoffs to operational state, engaging networking and deployment teams to enable rapid workload turn-ups
- Prepare executive reporting on facility development progress versus plan, supporting capacity planning and strategic decision-making
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, proactively addressing blockers
- Develop standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery as Anthropic scales its infrastructure footprint
You will operate with significant autonomy and free reign to develop your own approaches. Success requires thriving with ambiguity, owning project outcomes, and being equally comfortable working with blue-collar trades on job sites and negotiating with executives at development and contractor partners.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in senior-level site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data center development (entitlements, permitting, planning, supply chain, execution, commissioning, handover)
- Ability to treat data center design and construction as a simple, repeatable process and build/optimize delivery with minimal external playbooks
- Comfort making decisions and guiding execution without needing to consult multiple external parties
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a field relevant to the role
- Willingness to operate on an island and take ownership of project outcomes
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems
- Leadership positions (General Superintendent, Project Manager) within a GC or EPC on hyperscale data center projects
- Experience with lease negotiations, construction contracts, or real estate development processes
- Ability to transform traditionally transaction-focused arrangements into collaborative efforts aligned around accelerated delivery
