Xero's G&A Data & Analytics team is seeking a Data & Analytics Enablement Lead to own how Finance, HR, Legal, and Workplace teams find, understand, and act on data independently. You will set the enablement roadmap, define guardrails for safe self-service analytics, and design ways of working that enable teams to answer their own questions rather than queuing for support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the G&A data enablement roadmap, including approved data sources, certified dashboards, metric definitions, and naming conventions
- Partnering with senior leaders across Finance and HR to embed data into planning cycles, performance conversations, and decision forums
- Influencing central Data, BI, and Governance teams to ensure G&A needs shape platform development
- Designing role-based enablement programmes and learning pathways for Finance, People, and leadership audiences
- Building exemplar analytics experiences such as G&A scorecards and performance dashboards
- Lifting data and AI literacy across the function and embedding responsible data use practices
- Mentoring analysts and business users to build capability across the community
- Defining and tracking adoption, usage, and outcome metrics to drive iteration
The team works with modern analytics stacks including SQL, cloud data warehouses, dbt for transformation, and Tableau alongside other BI platforms. You will work in a hybrid model across Auckland, Melbourne, or Sydney, with boost days for in-person collaboration and flexibility for remote work.
Requirements:
- Track record of designing and running enablement or change programmes that measurably shifted how business teams use data
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, ideally across Finance, People, or other corporate functions
- Background in modern analytics stacks: SQL, cloud data warehouses, transformation tools (dbt), and BI platforms (Tableau)
- Strength in translating complex data concepts into clear, practical guidance for different audiences
- Experience defining and tracking adoption, usage, and outcome metrics, and using insights to iterate
- Mentoring capability and commitment to lifting capability across the community rather than hoarding knowledge
