You will join the Analytics team reporting to the Director of Analytics, playing a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional projects with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Underwriting teams to understand requirements and develop reports that deliver actionable insights for key decision-makers
- Translate and analyze complex data sets to identify key business drivers, uncover trends, and highlight opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI, integrating data from multiple sources to deliver visual storytelling that drives strong business decisions
- Own ad-hoc reporting across all internal teams to ensure business strategic alignment
- Leverage dbt to clean, structure, and transform data within the data warehouse, maintaining high-quality datasets for analysis
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address evolving data needs and ensure data consistency across the organization
- Document data definitions, reports, and structures to maintain clarity, scalability, and data integrity for all stakeholders
The role is hybrid, based in NYC with 3 days per week onsite.
Data Stack: Snowflake (data warehousing), dbt (transformations), Power BI (visualization and reporting), Stitch (data pipelines), Dagster (workflow orchestration), and GitHub (version control).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role within a Fintech or Insurance company
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Experienced with SQL
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including data mining, evaluation, and visualization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented and curious about how data informs decisions across product, marketing, sales, and operations
Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge and experience with dbt (data build tool), Snowflake, and Git
