Tripledot Studios, one of the world's largest independent mobile games companies with 2,500+ employees across 12 studios, is seeking a Data Analyst to own the fraud detection and user segmentation work for PuzzlePlay, their new player rewards platform. PuzzlePlay combines engagement mechanics with game content, allowing users to earn points, complete challenges, and win real prizes across Tripledot's portfolio of casual free-to-play mobile games reaching 25+ million daily active users. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a fraud detection system that combines fraud and activity signals to understand users and inform revenue-share decisions. Working alongside the analyst responsible for gameplay signals, product managers, and data colleagues, you'll ensure the system remains effective as fraud patterns evolve. Key responsibilities include: - Regularly reviewing and refining fraud signals (IP spoofing, VPN use, unusual play patterns) to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users - Owning fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, from signal interpretation to ongoing performance monitoring - Collaborating with the product team on fraud verification tools tailored to different markets (currently using FaceTec for facial verification; exploring ID scanning and phone verification for other regions) - Investigating users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases, and improving the review process - Identifying gaps in available signals and recommending third-party tools for the product roadmap The role is based in Europe with Warsaw as the preferred location, though candidates across Europe are welcome. Tripledot offers hybrid working with 20 days of remote flexibility annually, 25 days paid holiday, free lunch when in office, professional development support, private medical cover, pension matching, and other benefits. REQUIREMENTS: - Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions (not just working alongside a fraud team) - Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with interest in how decisions evolve as tactics change - Ability to work with product and other teams to translate analysis into operational fraud controls
