Tripledot Studios, one of the world's largest independent mobile games companies with 2,500+ employees across 12 studios, is seeking a Data Analyst to own the fraud detection and user segmentation work for PuzzlePlay—their new player rewards platform that lets users earn points and win real prizes through casual mobile games. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a fraud detection system that combines fraud signals with activity data to understand users and inform revenue-share decisions. Working alongside a gameplay analyst, product managers, and data colleagues, you'll regularly review and refine fraud signals (including IP spoofing, VPN detection, and unusual play patterns) as fraud tactics evolve. You'll own the fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, deciding how signals are interpreted and monitoring their effectiveness over time. Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing fraud signals regularly, adding, removing, and refining them to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users - Owning fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system from signal interpretation to ongoing monitoring - Collaborating with the product team on fraud verification tools for different markets (currently using FaceTec for facial verification; may expand to ID scanning or phone verification) - Investigating users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases, and improving the review process - Identifying gaps in available signals and recommending third-party tools for the product roadmap This role is based in Warsaw, Poland, with hybrid working arrangements including 20 days per year of remote work flexibility. REQUIREMENTS: - Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions (not just working alongside a fraud team) - Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with interest in how those decisions change as tactics evolve - Ability to work with product and other teams to turn analysis into operational fraud controls
