Immersive Labs is a leading cyber resilience platform founded in 2017, now with 300+ employees globally and £150M+ in funding. They're hiring a Senior Cyber Security Engineer for their Red Team Content team to design, build, and deliver offensive security labs and training content on their Immersive One platform.
In this role, you'll leverage deep penetration testing and red teaming expertise to create engaging, practical offensive security labs and challenges. You'll research emerging vulnerabilities, tactics, and tools—including AI-driven attacks—and translate that knowledge into compelling educational content. Your responsibilities include designing multi-format content (practical exercises, gamified challenges, theory modules), testing red team labs for functionality, and collaborating with the Product team on platform innovations.
You'll be responsible for making complex offensive security concepts accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences, helping train real-world users to identify and counter the latest threats. This is content creation and platform development work, not traditional red team engagements—you're building the training infrastructure that educates offensive security professionals.
Required qualifications: several years of hands-on experience as a penetration tester or offensive security consultant; deep knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework; strong technical foundation in networking, computing, and cybersecurity; ability to simplify complex subjects through examples and analogies; familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Python is beneficial. You should be a natural problem-solver, comfortable with prototyping and iteration, and passionate about disrupting traditional security training through innovation.
