OpenTeams is building energy-efficient, cost-effective AI models grounded in open-source principles. This Cyber Security Engineer / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSE) role owns the security architecture and accreditation posture of the company's software depot, a critical infrastructure component supporting DoD and Intelligence Community systems. You will lead Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities including control selection, implementation evidence gathering, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) management, and Authority to Operate (ATO) support. You'll design and implement supply chain security controls—SBOM generation, artifact signing, vulnerability scanning, and provenance attestation—to ensure the integrity of software artifacts. Your threat modeling and security reviews will embed security into the depot architecture and engineering workflows. A key responsibility is integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and enforcing policy gates, ensuring DevSecOps best practices across container scanning, SAST/DAST, code signing, and policy enforcement. You'll support cross-domain and classified environment requirements, including secure transfer procedures, and serve as the primary security interface with government ISSMs, assessors, and authorizing officials. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and 6+ years of hands-on experience in cyber security or ISSE roles supporting DoD or IC systems. You must have deep expertise in RMF, NIST 800-53, and tools like eMASS, Xacta, or CSAM. IAT/IAM Level II or III certification (Security+, CISSP, or CISM) is required. Experience securing AI/ML systems or software supply chains at scale, familiarity with continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) approaches, and IL5/IL6 or cross-domain solutions are preferred.
