OpenAI's Adoption, Innovation, and Transformation team for Government is seeking a Cyber Enablement Lead to drive product adoption and training for Daybreak, OpenAI's cybersecurity-focused AI product, among U.S. government agencies. In this role, you will own the end-to-end enablement strategy for Daybreak across government cyber professionals. You will design and execute comprehensive training programs tailored to diverse audiences—from cyber operators and developers to CISOs and executive leadership. Your responsibilities include: - Developing and executing Daybreak's complete enablement strategy, from audience research and curriculum design through program delivery and impact measurement - Leading technical training sessions, live product demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and strategic briefings for government stakeholders - Creating training content including scripts, recorded product demos, interactive labs, digital courses, videos, facilitator guides, and practical playbooks - Hosting and facilitating cyber councils that foster peer learning and address practitioner questions - Building both specialized engagements for small teams and scalable programs reaching thousands of practitioners - Connecting Daybreak capabilities to real government cyber workflows across the full cybersecurity lifecycle (threat modeling, vulnerability discovery, remediation, detection, incident response, recovery) - Partnering with product, security, deployment, and customer teams to ensure technical accuracy and responsiveness - Measuring adoption, sustained use, and demonstrable improvements in cyber outcomes The role is based in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid model (three days in office per week). Travel to government customer sites is required. OpenAI offers relocation assistance. Requirements: - Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity lifecycle, including threat modeling, vulnerability discovery and validation, prioritization, remediation, detection, incident response, and recovery - Comprehensive fluency in Daybreak's capabilities, applications, and deployment requirements, with ability to translate technical knowledge into effective government training - Proven track record of building and delivering cybersecurity product enablement programs, from specialist engagements to scaled programs for thousands of practitioners - Strong writing, teaching, and content creation skills; ability to develop clear scripts, record compelling demos, and design practical learning experiences - Ability to earn credibility with both technical practitioners and senior leaders; skill in explaining complex capabilities accurately and adjusting communication to audience level - High emotional intelligence, engaging teaching presence, humility, and empathy; comfort acknowledging knowledge gaps and creating psychologically safe learning environments - Understanding of government cyber missions, security requirements, and operational constraints, ideally across DoD, federal civilian agencies, and state/local government - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work from strategy through execution, incorporate feedback, and connect enablement to measurable proficiency and stronger defenses
