You will own the complete customer experience after the sale, transforming one-time buyers into long-term partners. Your responsibilities include:
- Manage the full post-sale customer lifecycle: orders, shipments, issue resolution, and renewals
- Own retention and expansion metrics across your account portfolio with clear KPI targets
- Track active orders in real time across all accounts, monitoring status, dock dates, exceptions, and customer expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers—first call for urgent issues, escalations, and relationship needs
- Manage customer-facing technical support across internal platforms (Gondor and NOX NEST), including user training and adoption
- Proactively identify and surface operational issues (late mill loads, failed inspections, dock conflicts) before customers experience them
- Conduct customer business reviews covering performance, upsell opportunities, feedback, and relationship strengthening
- Coordinate across operations, supply chain, quality, and shipping teams to ensure every commitment is met
- Bring customer insights and feedback back to product, engineering, and operations teams
- Partner with outside and inside sales teams on account expansion and growth opportunities
Requirements:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or post-sale roles, ideally in metals, manufacturing, logistics, or B2B SaaS
- Proven track record of owning retention and expansion with demonstrated success hitting KPIs
- Strong relationship-building skills across buyers, operations leaders, and engineering contacts
- Proficiency with AI tools, CRMs, and customer portals
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with organizational discipline to manage dozens of accounts simultaneously
- Customer-obsessed mindset, ability to perform under pressure, and willingness to do unglamorous work
Nice to have: metals, machine shop, aerospace, or defense account experience; CRM or customer portal expertise; forklift or crane certification.
