Salary: USD 108,000 - 130,000 / annual

You will serve as the primary point of contact for health plan customers, managing a portfolio of accounts and acting as a trusted advisor to plan account, product, and clinical stakeholders. This is a strategic role focused on retention, member engagement, and demonstrating measurable value to large payer organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning a portfolio of health plan accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for multiple stakeholders
- Driving retention and renewal outcomes by proactively identifying risks and building action plans aligned with payer procurement cycles
- Increasing member engagement and program utilization through data-informed recommendations and regular business reviews
- Presenting program value, outcomes, and cost-savings data to health plan leadership through clear storytelling and executive-ready presentations
- Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Implementation, Business Intelligence, Legal & Compliance, and Member Success teams
- Identifying and supporting expansion opportunities within existing relationships in partnership with the Health Plan Sales team
- Contributing to customer success playbooks, processes, and best practices as the Health Plans segment scales
Success in the first 12–18 months means building trusted, multi-threaded relationships across your portfolio; delivering consistent retention and renewal results; increasing member engagement through proactive recommendations; establishing regular business reviews with payer-ready reporting; and contributing at least one scalable playbook or process improvement adopted across the segment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of professional experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or client services roles in health plan, payer, or healthcare benefits space
- Experience working with or within health plans, with understanding of how payers evaluate, launch, and manage partner programs
- Track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships and projects across simultaneous workstreams
- Clear, empathetic communication skills with comfort presenting to plan leadership and executive audiences
- Enthusiasm for Carrot's mission and eagerness to join a collaborative team
Nice to have:
- Existing relationships within national or regional health plans
- Familiarity with payer operations such as clinical program integration, network strategy, or utilization and outcomes reporting
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with attention to detail
- Comfort navigating ambiguity in a growing segment; highly organized and self-motivated
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry conferences
