As a Customer Success Engineer, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for Rescale's key customers, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure they have the best cloud HPC experience. This role combines technical depth with customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute all technical activities throughout the customer's post-sales engagement, including product and feature adoption, technical presentations, and customer business review meetings. Top-performing CSEs increase strategic customers' usage by over 140% annually.
- Independently analyze technical needs, requirements, customer infrastructure, operations, and workflows. You'll work with rocket scientists, CFD/FEA engineers, and aerospace engineers, learning their technical workflows to help them innovate faster on the Rescale platform.
- Gain deep understanding of customer workflows and HPC environments to provide tailored solutions with unique value propositions.
- Collaborate with customers to define and execute digital transformation strategies for migrating workloads from on-premises to cloud, creating strategic roadmaps spanning 1-5 years.
- Articulate and present Rescale solutions at conferences, user groups, and webinars. CSEs typically attend 1-2 regional and national conferences annually.
You'll report to Hitoshi Sato, Technical Director - Japan.
Requirements:
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or equivalent
- Background in a customer-facing role, technical support, or professional services
- General knowledge in at least one HPC discipline (CFD, FEA, Molecular Dynamics, Weather Forecasting, Computational Chemistry, Reservoir Simulation, Media Rendering, Machine Learning, Financial, etc.)
- Experience working with enterprise customers in aerospace, automotive, life sciences, oil & gas, semiconductor, EDA, or federal sector
- Experience working with at least one HPC simulation software (ANSYS, Siemens, Dassault Systemes, COMSOL, AVL, Altair, PTC, Cadence, Synopsys, Autodesk, OpenFOAM, LAMMPS, GROMACS, NAMD, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of HPC, schedulers, IaaS, scripting languages, HPC containers, and how these tools are deployed by customers
- Strong presenter able to explain highly technical topics in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and coordinate colleagues across diverse teams and locations
- Enjoys solving complex problems, empathetic approach to customer solutions, outgoing personality with customer-obsessed attitude
- Comfortable learning and deep diving into new technologies quickly and efficiently
