Voltus is a demand response platform that helps commercial and industrial customers earn cash by optimizing their operational flexibility in energy markets. As a Customer Success Associate, you will own the end-to-end onboarding of new customer sites from signed contract to live operation in the energy market, with a target of under 100 days to go live.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the onboarding process, managing project coordination across Sales, Field Engineering, Market Operations, and Dispatch Operations. Your responsibilities include tracking data collection, registrations, hardware installation, and testing; setting clear expectations with customer site teams about program participation requirements; and keeping all stakeholders aligned on progress and timelines.
Beyond initial onboarding, you will remain part of the account team for the duration of the customer relationship, supporting dispatch events, market registrations, and seasonal updates. You will work closely with site contacts, operations leads, and energy champions on curtailment plans and documentation. You'll also identify and resolve bottlenecks in the onboarding process—whether through improved handoffs, clearer templates, or better tracking systems—and support customers when they underperform during dispatch events.
This role is part of a regional sales team of approximately four Sales Directors and may involve supporting multiple markets. Sales Directors own the commercial relationship and renewals; this role has no quota and focuses purely on customer success and operational execution.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in a customer-facing role such as customer success, onboarding, implementation, account management, or project management
- Demonstrated track record of owning complex projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders, keeping them organized and current
- Comfort being the face of the company to customers, including setting expectations that may not align with customer hopes
- Persistence and diplomacy in influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Proactive mindset: improving processes rather than simply working within them
- Genuine excitement about this role as it is, not as a stepping stone; authentic interest in the energy transition
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, Google Workspace, and Excel
- Authorization to work in the US or Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
- Ability to work primarily from home country; international travel requires approval under Global Remote Travel Policy
