Highbeam is building the future of business banking and cash management through AI agents, automated financial workflows, and integrated financial products. The company serves well-known consumer brands and has raised $42M from top-tier investors including Acrew, FirstMark, and Two Sigma Ventures. As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be the first point of contact for Highbeam's users, providing support across multiple channels with speed, clarity, and empathy. You'll handle 20-30 chat queries daily and 5-15 calls weekly via Intercom, email, and phone. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting product issues, guiding users through banking operations (onboarding, account setup, ACH/wire transfers, transaction troubleshooting), and working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams. Beyond reactive support, you'll serve as the voice of the customer—identifying recurring issues, translating complex banking concepts into simple explanations, and advocating for customer needs across the company. You'll maintain internal documentation and customer-facing knowledge bases, and help identify opportunities to scale and streamline support processes. Required: 2+ years in customer support or customer experience roles, strong written and verbal communication, ability to stay calm under pressure, proficiency with tools like Intercom or Zendesk, and genuine empathy with a customer-first mindset. Bonus qualifications include familiarity with US payment operations, fintech/financial services experience, and exposure to consumer brand businesses. Highbeam offers competitive salary with meaningful equity, comprehensive health and benefits, generous PTO, $1K annual stipend for customer products, $100/month wellness stipend, yearly offsites, and in-office perks including covered commute and $20/day lunch stipend. The Toronto office is downtown near St. Andrew Station.
