Salary: USD 141,000 - 165,000 / annual
Robinhood is seeking a Crypto Product Compliance Lead to support the development and enhancement of its crypto products and services. The role sits at the intersection of Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations, serving as the primary compliance partner for crypto product initiatives.
You will lead initiatives responsible for reviewing product designs, customer communications, and operational processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and firm policies. Key responsibilities include:
• Partner with Product teams and business partners (Legal, Risk, Operations) during design, testing, launch, and enhancement of crypto products and services
• Advise on regulatory requirements and operational processes related to crypto products, including consumer protection, AML, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance
• Develop appropriate compliance frameworks for new products
• Review product features, customer communications, and marketing materials for regulatory alignment
• Provide timely guidance to business partners on compliance questions and regulatory developments
• Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, filings, and internal compliance reviews, including developing and executing compliance testing and monitoring
You will advise teams throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and post-launch enhancements. The role requires close collaboration across technical and non-technical teams in a regulated environment.
This is a hybrid role based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 7+ years of experience in financial services, including experience supporting crypto products within compliance, risk, legal, audit, or operations functions
• Experience with brokerage products
• Awareness of anti-money laundering, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance requirements related to crypto products
• Experience advising on consumer protection requirements
• Experience advising on DeFi projects
• Strong understanding of MiFID requirements (required)
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate work across technical and non-technical teams in a regulated environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting compliance guidance to business partners and leadership teams
• Familiarity with global crypto regulatory frameworks, including MiCA (preferred)
• Familiarity with traditional brokerage (preferred)
• Passion for democratizing finance and interest in crypto products and financial technology
