Salary: USD 135,000 - 175,000 / annual
Octus is a leading global provider of credit intelligence, data, and analytics serving hedge funds, investment banks, management consulting firms, and law firms since 2013.
You will join the Direct Data Services team at the intersection of product innovation, domain strategy, and direct client impact. Partnering with the Head of Direct Data Services, you will institutionalize, scale, and expand deep workflow knowledge across the team and AI product suite.
You will be embedded in the complex day-to-day workflows of clients in leveraged finance (LevFin) credit markets, translating intricate analytical needs into robust, AI- and data-driven solutions. This is a client-facing role where you will act as a trusted domain expert and advisor.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to codify LevFin workflow intelligence and scale solutions across the internal team and product suite
- Serve as a client-facing domain expert and trusted advisor for buyside, sellside, and advisory accounts
- Investigate and map users' complex financial processes (credit agreements, debt structures, covenants) to embed Octus's AI platform into daily workflows
- Apply advanced AI and LLM tools to prototype, test, and design tailored workflows that optimize manual credit analysis and document-heavy research
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to translate client feedback into platform enhancements and features
The team is based in the New York City office on a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office).
Requirements:
- Experience in leveraged finance credit markets on the buyside (credit funds, direct lending, asset management), investment banking, or credit advisory side
- High proficiency and comfort with leading AI tools and LLMs, with strong interest in prompt optimization and workflow automation
- Strong desire to be client-facing with proven ability to build partnerships and solve complex operational problems for institutional clients
- Organized, detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and respond quickly; ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple workstreams
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience working directly with product, data, or engineering teams is a plus
