Bedrock Robotics is seeking a Creative and Editorial Lead to build the storytelling engine behind the brand. The company deploys autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country, improving safety on job sites and accelerating schedules on critical infrastructure projects. In just two years, Bedrock has raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments in construction.
This is a senior, hands-on role for a seasoned creative generalist who will set editorial direction and quality standards for all published content. You will work closely with brand, communications, and marketing leaders to turn customer proof, technical progress, and field stories into compelling editorial content, video, and digital campaigns that establish Bedrock as a defining voice in autonomous construction and physical AI.
Key responsibilities include owning Bedrock's editorial strategy, storytelling pipeline, publishing cadence, and quality bar across all owned public channels. You will personally write, edit, interview, develop concepts, and bring a meaningful share of early editorial and creative work to completion. You'll develop clear editorial standards, writing guidance, review criteria, and production practices that ensure consistent, on-brand work.
You will own creative and editorial direction for customer testimonials, case studies, web and blog content, technical explainers, white papers, executive thought leadership, presentations, social content, video, campaigns, and other high-visibility brand moments. A key challenge is translating complicated technical ideas into clear, memorable, and persuasive narratives without flattening their intelligence or relying on generic technology marketing language.
You will develop recurring editorial franchises and signature formats that create sustained, recognizable Bedrock presence—such as customer field stories, technical explainers, documentary-style content, and original perspectives on construction and physical AI. You'll use market, audience, and competitive insights to prioritize story opportunities and editorial formats.
Leadership responsibilities include directing external agencies, freelance writers, designers, photographers, filmmakers, producers, and specialist partners from briefing through final delivery. Over time, you will build and lead a lean internal newsroom and creative studio, likely including writers and editors, a producer, and a flexible bench of freelance specialists and agencies.
You will travel periodically to customer sites, active jobsites, production shoots, and selected industry moments to uncover stories firsthand, direct creative work in the field, and ensure storytelling remains grounded in construction reality.
