1Password is seeking a Country Manager for Australia & New Zealand to establish and lead the company's next major international market. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will own regional growth strategy, revenue performance, and customer experience while building a local go-to-market team spanning Sales, Channel, Business Development, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success.
You will establish 1Password as a credible, locally led security partner across ANZ by translating global strategy into a regional operating plan that reflects local buying behavior, market dynamics, competitive conditions, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include owning the ANZ business plan and revenue outcomes across new business, expansion, and retention; building a channel-first growth engine through distributors, resellers, and service providers; serving as an executive sponsor for priority customers and prospects; recruiting and developing a high-performing Sydney-based team; bringing customer insight and competitive intelligence to global product and engineering leaders; and representing 1Password across the ANZ market through executive meetings, industry events, and thought leadership.
Within your first 12 months, success means establishing 1Password's credibility in ANZ, building and ramping the core regional team, activating a focused distributor and reseller ecosystem, transitioning existing ANZ accounts to the local operating model, accelerating new-business and expansion pipeline, creating an evidence-based plan for public-sector and regulated-industry growth, and building trusted partnerships with global leaders.
1Password is a market-leading enterprise password manager and Unified Access Management platform trusted by over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to innovative AI companies. The company has surpassed $400M in ARR and was named to the Forbes Cloud 100 for four consecutive years. The role is remote within Australia, though in-person onboarding in Toronto is required, and regular travel across Australia and New Zealand with occasional international travel is expected.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Significant leadership experience in enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud, identity, or related technology markets, including substantial experience in Australia and New Zealand
- Track record of launching, building, or scaling a regional business with accountability for revenue, people, partners, and customer outcomes
- Deep ANZ market credibility and established executive network across customers, distributors, resellers, service providers, and the broader technology ecosystem
- Proven channel-first leadership with ability to create strong partner economics and make indirect routes to market a core operating model
- Experience leading multiple go-to-market disciplines (enterprise/commercial sales, channel, business development, solutions engineering, customer success)
- Strong people leadership, commercial judgment, and operational discipline across recurring-revenue business models, forecasting, pipeline creation, expansion, and retention
- Preferred: Experience with identity and access management, privileged access, SaaS security, developer security, or AI security; familiarity with complex enterprise buying processes and sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
- Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand, with occasional international travel
