GetYourGuide is seeking an exceptional Director to lead its Global Attractions & Ticketed Experiences business unit, owning strategy, partnerships, and results for one of the company's core strategic initiatives. You will report directly to the VP Supply and Sales and lead an organization of approximately 25 people.
The role centers on winning at the world's 1,000 most visited attractions—including the Louvre, Sagrada Família, the Colosseum, Broadway, and Disneyland—where roughly a third of GetYourGuide's business occurs. The marketplace is rapidly evolving with vertical specialists competing on price and UX, attractions building direct channels, and agentic commerce reshaping customer expectations. Your mission is to establish GetYourGuide as the winning marketplace at every major attraction and the partner of choice for the institutions behind them.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the multi-year strategy and quarterly targets for Attractions and Ticketed Experiences, reporting progress to the executive team and board-level forums
- Bringing Product, Marketing, Tech, Pricing, and Sales together around a unified plan, aligning roadmaps and resolving trade-offs across functions that don't report to you
- Leading enterprise sales and key account motions, personally negotiating direct relationships with iconic heritage institutions, museums, theme parks, and live-event operators
- Driving innovative commercial models including exclusive allotments, multi-year agreements, co-funded campaigns, and principal-model deals; building out a Cultural Affairs playbook for government-owned and hard-to-reach venues
- Owning competitive levers for scarce inventory: availability solutions for daily-sellout attractions, price parity, connectivity, and vertically integrated operations at flagship sites
- Leading and developing a multi-layered team of senior team leads while representing GetYourGuide as a thought leader at industry conferences and supplier summits
You will be based in Berlin with regular travel (approximately 20%) to partners and local offices worldwide. The role is hybrid with three days in-office collaboration (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days of optional at-home focus time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years running a business or business unit (not just a function) in a high-growth marketplace, SaaS, OTA, or travel-tech environment
- 5+ years leading leaders and growing multi-layered teams of 20 or more
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs where Product, Marketing, and Tech didn't report to you, aligning roadmaps and delivering joint outcomes through influence rather than authority
- Outstanding stakeholder management at executive level; ability to build conviction with data and clear thesis; ability to make peers better rather than working around them
- Hands-on experience closing and managing complex enterprise partnerships with solid grasp of supply economics: allocation, breakage risk, net rates, parity, and connectivity
- Fluency across product roadmaps, marketing ROAS, and supplier P&Ls; comfort writing strategic direction memos and executing them with institutional leaders
- Entrepreneurial, low-ego mindset; based in Berlin or willing to relocate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as Director, General Manager, or category/business unit owner in a marketplace
- Earlier background in top-tier consulting followed by an operating role
- Deep understanding of attractions, ticketing, or live-entertainment industry and competitive landscape
- Experience with cultural institutions, public-sector, or government-owned venues
- German or other European language skills
