OpenAI's Corporate Security team is seeking a Program Manager to lead the advancement, coordination, and maturity of the company's global corporate security operations. This role sits within the Special Projects function and owns a defined portfolio across Global Operations, Protection, and Special Projects.
You will lead the development and global implementation of Corporate Security programs, runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and decision-making frameworks. You'll oversee and coordinate initiatives across all Corporate Security pillars, ensuring seamless communication, accountability, and documentation. Managing multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, you'll ensure milestones are met and outcomes align with strategic security and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for security protection programs; partnering with internal teams including Legal, Real Estate & Workplace, IT, People, and Communications to ensure operational readiness and compliance; coordinating security vendor and contract-service programs; and collaborating with Global Ops and Protection teams to develop and scale programs supporting Corporate Security initiatives.
You will develop and manage documentation, communications, and training materials that strengthen awareness, preparedness, and operational consistency across the organization. You'll identify and drive opportunities to scale and improve operational efficiency through process optimization and technology integration. Additionally, you'll contribute to developing a resilient, inclusive, and high-performing security culture by mentoring team members and reinforcing best practices, and support procurement coordination ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services aligned with internal financial policies.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant experience in security operations, program management, or related disciplines within corporate, government, or high-technology environments. You should have proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs spanning geographies and disciplines, with a strong understanding of physical security systems, vendor management, and operational governance frameworks. Demonstrated success developing and implementing SOPs for diverse teams is essential. You'll need exceptional organizational skills to manage competing priorities with precision, excellent communication and collaboration abilities to influence cross-functional partners, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. A people-first approach to leadership and commitment to fostering inclusion and operational excellence are valued. Proficiency in Google Workspace and experience with OpenAI's Chat and Codex models are required.
